About Bambi

Hi!(•̥̑.̮•̥̑)

My name is Macie, and I’m a 25-year-old textile artist based in North Texas! I create every print and embroidery design in my shop.

I up-cycle thrifted and second-hand clothing for my art in small batches. I repair, clean, and rework the original garments into something new.

I try to only source from charity shops located in communities that are less reliant on them, and try to be mindful about the pieces I choose to up-cycle in small batches, prioritizing garments that are in mass stock already and avoiding garments in high-need with low stock. I try to source from shops with a charitable purpose and that invest in local communities.

In the future, I plan to source from bales of second-hand textile stock that have been discarded by thrifts and other used goods retailers. In the United States, 85% of textiles are discarded from the resale economy to landfills overseas, and are considered textile waste. Currently, I do not have the textile recycling infrastructure to accomplish this, but with every purchase you make in my store, I get closer to investing and working towards this future!
